I have been working with Solaris and other UNIX/Linux flavors since 1995. I’ve learned a great deal while working for large companies such as Sun Microsystems, Hughes Aircraft, America Online, GMAC, and also smaller companies like iAmaze and GlobalCenter.

I specialize in designing and implementing solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and security.

Over the years, I’ve obtained many certifications, such as

• Sun Certified System Administrator
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate(CCNA)
• Fortinet Certified Network Security Professional

I have written many articles for web sites and blogs, and have served as a contributing author and editor for several technical manuals and books.

As a consultant, I have worked with many companies to implement secure Internet access, VPN solutions, firewalls, large-scale backup and disaster recovery solutions, web & mail hosting, as well as provide input on general IT strategy and direction.

Currently I work for a financial company in Orange County as a UNIX Systems Programmer, and am not looking for any job change at this time. Well, unless a dump truck full of money is involved.
